An Acoustic Café

Acoustic Café is a two hour weekly radio show, and an independent media production of RDR Radio, LLC. The program is produced and hosted by Rob Reinhart who started the show in 1995. Each week, listeners around the globe tune in to Acoustic Café to hear the latest from today’s great songwriting talents. It’s hard to put a definitive label on Acoustic Café’s music selections. After all, a good song is a good song… any individual set of music could contain a bit of country, rock, blues, folk, pop… and more!

Infinity Hall is hosting An Acoustic Café LIVE CONCERT on Jan. 21st. This show will be featuring three amazing artists. Meet Carrie Rodriguez who The New York Times pop critic Jon Pareles said “Her fiddler’s vocabulary of old modal melodies centers her songs about faraway loves and spiritual prospects, bringing concision and gravity to every one of them.”

Meet Ben Sollee who has collaborated with such artists as Otis Taylor and Bela Fleck. He also earned a spot on NPR’s Top 10 Great Unknown Artists of 2007 before the release of his debut Learning To Bend in 2008.

Last but not least, Kris Delmhorst has trained that voice on a series of gracefully open lyrics and figures that transcend genre, ranging into the borderlands between indie-rock and folk, that nameless territory inhabited by such hard-to-classify artists as Juana Molina, Feist, Iron & Wine, and Laura Veirs.

This is obviously going to be an amazing show. So grab your tickets now… –Take me to the show–

Jeff Pevar plays tomorrow (Saturday night) here at Infinity Hall and we can’t wait for his return. Last time he was here he played all night long and completely tore up the hall… in a good way.

Check out WHDD’s interview with Jeff Pevar that just happened. Click Here!

He did a monster version of Kasmir by Led Zeppelin, which is a song I love, but also many others. Pevar will dabble in every genre, pulling influences from all across the map. Just look at him have fun soloing with “Jazz is Dead” doing Tennessee Jed…

Grab your tickets before they are all gone, the show is almost sold out. –Take me to the show–

Adam Ezra Group

Adam Ezra is opening for ETH (Enter The Haggis) tomorrow night. He’ll set the stage right for them in a big way. The first time I saw the Adam Ezra group it was at the Half Door in Hartford on a Wednesday night, he got the whole place going mad!! Anyways, I had a chance to ask him a few questions today…

You gig constantly, what is your favorite thing about playing live?
That the audience shapes the music as much as I do. That I never know what is going to happen. A song I’ve played 3000 times can still feel brand new on a good night….

How did Adam Ezra become the Adam Ezra Group?
One can only take so much Adam Ezra…you know? Even me, haha. I mean I like myself a lot… but not that much.

Will you be playing with your band or solo at Infinity Hall?
Not sure yet. We’re still figuring out how many of us can fit on your stage… Either way, i can’t wait!!

If you could have 1 special guest artist sit in for a show, who would it be?
I would have my cousin Shana up on stage. She’s a potter. Amazing. I would have her create crazy shaped clay things while i played. Probably not exactly what you were asking… right? Fine then. Bruce Springsteen. I would have the boss play with me. We would rage…

I see your headlining at the Paradise in Boston this January! Are you excited for this big show?!
I cannot fricken’ wait for this show!! It will be our biggest headline performance to date. Wahoo!!

Don’t miss Adam Ezra with Enter The Haggis tomorrow, SUNDAY! There aren’t very many tickets left… –Take me to the show–
